My my my Poker Cake, my my Poker Cake!

I was asked to make a cake for a surprise birthday party. The guest of honour was an avid poker player, so I decided to create a cake that represented the poker table. I wanted to have a classic hexagonal poker table but realised early on that a cake covered in just black and green icing wouldn’t look very edible, so i decided to make a two tier chocolate cake with the lower tier covered in white icing and the top tier representing the poker table.

Christmas at the Poles

As it is officially Christmas time, I wanted to celebrate with a Christmas inspired cake. I’m a big animal lover so instead of making a ‘Santa Claus in the North Pole’ cake, I tried to combine both Poles with this penguin and polar bear scene. I hope you like it!

Haunted Gingerbread House

As it was Halloween, I decided to attempt a Haunted Gingerbread House for a friend’s party. I was inspired by Adriano Zumbo’s gingerbread house in the Masterchef Australia magazine, and thought I would turn his creation into a spooky Halloween house. I found the template to create each piece of the house online (link below) and began mixing!
